Clipper Logistics Group
Clipper is a retail logistics specialist which has secured a major multichannel fulfilment contract with FTSE250 listed fashion retailer, SuperGroup. The long term agreement will see Clipper service the contract from a new 500,000sqft distribution centre in Burton upon Trent.
Molson Coors Brewing Company (UK) is the UK arm of Molson Coors Brewing Company. The company has its headquarters in Burton upon Trent and originates from Bass Brewers Limited which was founded in 1777. The company has several brands under its belt including Carling, Grolsch and Cobra. The Burton Brewery also houses the National Brewery Centre, and the Shobnall Maltings site provides the malt for all the UK sites and many other breweries in the UK.
Healthcare at Home
Healthcare at Home is one of the UK’s largest home healthcare providers. This Burton-based company is a leading local employer with various sites around Centrum 100 Business Park.
This British company started as a small Victorian bakery in northern England over 150 years ago, and has grown to become one of the UK’s leading biscuit brands. Uttoxeter has one of three main manufacturing facilities in the UK, and is also home to a large distribution centre.
Currently Palletforce runs its logistics operation from a 380,000 sq ft distribution centre in Burton upon Trent. In early 2016, Palletfroce announced that a second 240,000 sq ft will be built on an adjcent 38-acre site, and is expected to go online in early 2017.
Hobbycraft is an arts and crafts superstore chain in the UK. In November 2012 the company opened its new national distribution centre in a 213,000sq ft. warehouse on the Centrum 100 Business Park. Located a mile from the A38, Hobbycraft uses the centre as a base from which to transport goods across the Midlands and the wider UK market.
Health food brands in NBTY Europe’s portfolio include Julian Graves, Holland and Barrett and Nature’s Way. In January 2011 the health food group opened a £14 million processing and packaging plant on Centrum 100 Business Park, adjacent to their existing warehouse and distribution depot.
Marston’s is a British public house operator, and owns and operates five breweries across the UK including the Marston’s Brewery in Burton upon Trent. In 2014 the company opened a new £7.4 million bottling plant in Burton which is capable of processing more than 18,000 bottles an hour. Marston’s has also installed four new 480 barrel conditioning tanks made by local engineering firm Briggs of Burton to increase capacity for holding beer before bottling.
JCB is a British Multinational corporation engaged in the manufacture of equipment for construction, demolition, and agriculture. In 1945 Joseph Cyril Bamford began business in a rented lock-up garage in Uttoxeter, and today nearby Rocester is home to the impressive JCB World Headquarters. The world-class family owned company is one of the world’s top three manufacturers of construction equipment, and sells their products in 150 countries through 2,000 dealer depot locations.
Clinigen Group is a specialty global pharmaceutical products and services business. The Group has three operating businesses; Specialty Pharmaceuticals (Clinigen SP), Clinical Trials Supply (Clinigen CTS), and Global Access Programs (Clinigen GAP). Clinigen is headquartered in Burton on Trent, with offices in the UK, USA and Japan.
Centrum One Hundred in Burton on Trent is the location of a distribution centre, which the company is automating to handle boots.com expansion, Boots seasonal products and products for export to their international businesses.
